Are you a Christian writer fascinated by God’s holy fire? If so, we want to hear from you. We are seeking unpublished short stories for a new anthology coming in 2027. Tales of the Emberwatch is an anthology of short speculative fiction that explores God’s holy fire—the burning bush that would not be consumed, the pillar of fire that led a nation through the wilderness, the tongues of flame that fell at Pentecost and set the Church ablaze, the refiner’s fire that purifies rather than destroys.
We’re looking for fantasy, science fiction, magical realism, spiritual warfare tales, and allegory where faith isn’t decoration—it’s the fire at the center of the story. Bring us your burning bushes, your refiner’s flames, your beacons lit against the dark, your creative spiritual warfare stories. Show us what it looks like when a single spark refuses to go out.
